Have you ever woken up on the wrong side of the bed and had everything else that happened that day be the "worst possible thing" that could happen that day? I have. And when you wake up in a bad mood, it's a hard tone to break because it essentially is the first emotion you feel that day. But that doesn't mean it's impossible to turn that frown upside down. So, even if you didn't wake up with a smile on your face, SMILE. It helps brighten mornings not only for you, but for those around you as well. A smile is contagious.

Other things you can do to break the bad mood:

Dress Happily

Some people have style that is reflective of their mood, and not a lot of people actually know that it can be the other way around. What you wear can change your mood as well! If you wear something that makes you happy, you look at yourself in the mirror and you'll think, "It's not going to be such a bad day after all."

Have Something to Look Forward To

Whether it's giving yourself an extra 30 minutes of sleep, watching the new episode release of your favorite TV series, or having dinner wiht your friends, these little moments you sprinkle throughout the week can help you break the bad mood.

Stop Reading "Hugot" Articles

It's these articles about things past relationships, being unhappy, and generally being unsatisfied with life that's getting you down. The next time you see a friend share another one of those articles on your timeline, scroll along. As long as you keep moving, you are doing fine. Don't let anyone else say otherwise.

It may be difficult to be all rainbows and sunshine, but it wouldn't hurt to try NOT to give yourself a hard time. ;) It's much more work being in a bad mood. You'll be alright. After all, you've been crushing it like a boss since the day you were born. You've gone this far.

  1. I agree with your points! It's not that you want to suppress the negative feelings you're experiencing but it really doesn't help of you read break-up/forever alone articles and listen to fix you by coldplay 100 billionth time....not that I did that.
