Combat Cardio MNL: Fight Fat, Fight Back
10:50 PM
If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I attend combat classes and have been doing so since the beginning of July. It has been more than a month already since I began Combat Cardio, so I think it’s about time I share with you the experience so far.
It all started when a friend of mine mentioned combat training to me. At the time, I was looking for fitness classes that would line up perfectly with my schedule. I work from 9am to 6pm, and most of the classes are either too far from where I will be coming from or the last class will start at 5pm. To be honest, I was never the best at working out at an actual gym, so I prefer taking classes.
It was as if the fitness gods have all agreed to give me what I want when I found out that Combat Cardio was offering a promo for a 1-month membership. More so, the classes are at 7-8PM and 8-9PM. When I spoke with the trainer and owner, Jay-Ar, he said he wanted to cater to those who have work that’s why he planned out the schedule to be like so.

12 years of training and 9 years of instructing for Z-ultimate self defense studios
More than a month into it and now that we are at a new location, it has turned into some sort of an addiction that always leaves me wanting to learn more after each class. Not only was I getting a good dose of cardio, I was also learning about self-defense.
Based on experience, this is a good stepping-stone for workout beginners who just want to be more active. Jay-Ar will start you off with manageable workouts and build it up as you go along. There are actually a lot of newbies right now, so it’s absolutely the perfect time to join.

Currently, I do a variety of workouts both through at-home fitness videos and fitness classes.
I follow Cassey Ho (Blogilates) on Youtube, and download her monthly workout calendars.
I also attend Barre3 whenever my weekend schedule permits. They just celebrated 5 years, by the way!

Can I go for just half a month? Is that an option? Can you ask Jay-Ar? ;) Haha.
