So I'm skipping a couple of backlogs because today I'm posting quite possibly one of my favorite outfits that I've put together. It might be the sun that made it look so much better in photos, or the fact that this sheer polo from Soul Sister Clothing is absolutely comfy and perfect for the hot weather. Whatever it is, I'm posting this now! :) Oh, but first...

That's my dad. You see, he likes to pretend that he gets annoyed when I have my photos taken. But secretly, I know he's very supportive and actually enjoys taking the outfit photos. Yes, he reads my blog sometimes... so, HI DAD. Hahaha! We were looking for a place around the house with good lighting that's why he's walking around :P

Bench sunglasses | Michaela bag | vintage skirt

Met up with my good friend Nina and her high school friend Keith for lunch at Yabu this day, but I'll tell you more about it in a separate post :)

So for this look, I paired two fabrics that would have otherwise been a night-time look if not for the color palette. I mean, who would have thought of pairing sheer and shiny/glitter together and strut at noon?? Certainly, there were weird things going on inside my head when I thought about this :P

But to make it daytime appropriate--or rather, noontime--I used blush tones and added light accessories. This new sheer blush pink button-down c/o Soul Sister Clothing went well with my mom's vintage shiny high-waist skirt. It used to be below the knees but I had it cut to make it more youthful.
