Still fresh with memories and Instagram posts from my Thailand trip, I attended Flossy’s Photography Workshop with up-and-coming photographer Jelito De Leon. Flossy is a footwear brand known for inspiring everyone to express themselves and, as their tagline suggests, “Live on your own terms”. So it was no surprise to me that they partnered with Jelito De Leon for this workshop, since I have seen how passionate he is about his craft. If you are active in the local social media space, you’ll understand what I mean.

Before beginning the workshop proper, we learned that Flossy was first worn by bohemians, street artists, and festive club goers for its relaxed, vibrant, and effortlessly chic style. One look at their shoe wall and I already knew I loved every pair. Plus points that they smell really good, too! If you come across one of their boutiques, go ahead and smell a pair. LOL.

After Jelito introduced himself, he shared with us the different aspects of photography that will be useful in building our social media accounts. From composition, to lighting, and even apps, he was very straight to the point and generous in sharing what he knew about photography—specifically, phone photography. He showed us that we don’t always need a DSLR to take great photos; even with just our smartphones, we can already take shots that are double-tap worthy. What struck me the most was that when asked if it is important to stick to a theme to achieve those “#FeedGoals”, he reminded us all that our social media accounts should be a reflection of who we are and it is essentially up to us what we would post.

Immediately after, I downloaded some of the apps he suggested. I really wish the Flossy Photography Workshop with Jelito came before my Thailand trip so that I could have already started applying everything I learned when I took photos then—like the AE Lock! I use it all the time now. LOL.

I also won during the photo contest, which is a FIRST for me! I’ve never had any luck with raffle draws before; plus, it’s going to be my first Flossy pair! Really excited to get my hands on them. I already know what I’m getting!
