Did you know that before my blog post about lazy day dressing, my last post was actually published at the end of July? During my abrupt month-long absence from blogging, I had the chance to do a lot of "soul-searching". It was during that month that I went through probably one of the roughest emotional roller coasters I've ever had. Regardless, I learned a lot of things during the ride, which I would like to share with you, in hopes that it will also help you. :)
1. It's okay to not be okay and show it
Sometimes, the best way to remedy a broken smile is to show that you have it. I am personally guilty for having faked so many smiles because I didn't want people to ask me if I was okay. I have never been the talking kind. But when you find people whom you are comfortable enough with to share your thoughts, take the opportunity because you will feel much lighter afterwards.
2. You will never win a battle if it truly isn't yours to win
It's like the saying, "Whatever is meant to be will be." There are things that we fight for that was never intended for us. And while it might hurt to lose the battle, you will eventually see that you actually have something greater to gain in that "loss".
3. You are stronger than yesterday
I used to think that I already knew all that there was to know about myself. That was until my limits were tested and I was essentially pushed to be more than I initially thought I was. Sometimes these challenges may catch you off-guard, but these are the challenges that help you acquire new strengths while improving on the ones you already have.

I hope that the things I shared in this blog post helped you go through whatever you are going through right now. Remember to keep pushing forward - onward and upward! Hope you are having a great start to the week! :)
