It's strange that we're still getting droplets of rain this March considering that we're supposed to be going into summer already here in the Philippines. Regardless, however, my wardrobe seems to already be taking a turn towards brighter colors and lighter, easy-to-wear pieces, and that makes me even more excited about summer.

One of my summer staple pieces is this beautiful lace cape from Simone's Closet. I initially fell in love with the cream/white prototype I saw a few months ago, which they posted as a teaser. But when this green baby arrived at my doorstep, I fell all the more in love.

A long cape such as this comes in very handy during the summer season because you can easily throw it over practically anything and add character to your look in an instant. Whether it is a cropped top and shorts combo or even a sexy playsuit like the one I'm wearing from Indie-Go Boutique, a long cape will quickly spice things up. Not to mention, a long cape can also be used as a cover up on beach trips. Sexy!

Ah, just talking about my summer staples already makes me really excited for the trips I have planned for this summer. Hopefully, everything falls through! My first summer trip is coming up this weekend and it's a camping trip in Zambales! Definitely not maarte when it comes to the outdoors.

What are your summer plans? :)
